Big Statues Sculpting Company Releases

Provo, UT (PRWEB) February 19, 2012

Big Statues will be releasing a limited-edition line of hand-sculpted, bronze sculptures. Each sculpture depicts the true essence of a grizzly bear fishing for a steal head fish. Mounted on a marble and walnut base, the sculpture captures a unique glimpse of true wildlife.

The sculptor, Matt Glenn, created the sculpture to display the realistic action and movement of a bear in the wild who must hunt to survive. The steal head fish on the sculpture is portrayed with immaculate detail and is intertwined with rocks and what looks to be moving water; also depicted in bronze.

Only twenty-two sculptures will be created and sold to private buyers located around the country. The complete dimensions of each sculpture are 19 by 19 inches and are most commonly housed by collectors of high-end artwork. Each piece tells a unique story of survival through the beauty of the unseen wild.

Big Statues, located in Provo, Utah, is a custom bronze sculpting company that serves clients throughout the country and have previously created several other limited-edition pieces. With every piece of art created, the sculptors at Big Statues take special care to capture the individual spirit of the piece and turn it into something that will be appreciated for years to come.

Retribution

The stories in John Fulton’s striking debut collection are set in cars, laundromats, motels, ranch houses, and roadside diners, where his characters struggle with and against the demands of family loyalty, love, loss, and sexual desire. A teenage girl attempts to lose her virginity while her mother dies at home; a middle-aged Casanova passes himself off as Barry Manilow—much to the distress of his soon-to-be-fourth wife; two young boys accompany their increasingly unhinged mother on a journey of self-destruction across the Utah desert. Retribution paints an astonishingly assured portrait of the new American West, and signals the arrival of a young writer of remarkable gifts.Author Biography: John Fulton’s fiction has appeared, among other places, in Zoetrope, The Oxford American, and The Southern Review. He currently lives in Ann Arbor, where he teaches writing at the University of Michigan. He is also the author of the novel More Than Enough.
